Mental Wellbeing
The space between 'I'm fine' and 'I need a psychologist'
Most of the people we work with aren't in crisis; they're carrying quiet, chronic overload. Here's why that middle ground deserves proper support.
Mental health language in the Netherlands tends to jump between two poles: 'ik red me wel' and a referral to the GGZ. That leaves a huge, silent middle where most of the people we work with actually live.
This middle looks like functioning well on the outside while feeling tight, tired or disconnected on the inside. It's not a diagnosis. But it isn't nothing, either.
Non-clinical counseling exists precisely for this space. It's structured, professional and evidence-informed, but it doesn't require you to be unwell to deserve support.
If you recognise this middle, you don't need to wait until things get worse to start.
